So I’ve known Oliver for years, his family lives in our neighborhood – Shaw – and I was so excited when his mom asked if we could schedule his senior pictures. He’s such an outstanding kid. A longtime student with Circus Harmony, Oliver is a great guy to watch grow up. Oliver has been a St. Louis Arch and performed (beautifully I might add) all over the place. He’s going to circus performing school in Canada and we, his community, couldn’t be more proud. Graduating this summer from high school we’re excited to see where the world takes him. As a St. Louis senior photographer it is always a joy to shoot a senior session. There is always joy in new beginnings.
We got a change to go to a few locations on our shoot. We headed downtown looking for some color and found these gorgeous rusted urban bridge legs to use as a beautiful back drop.
We found out way to the graffiti downtown and this is one of my favorite places to rock with seniors. Because it changes so regularly its a great opportunity to let the kids pick the space that reflects who they are. Thats is a major goal in our senior portrait sessions, letting the teens personality shine through while making sure we preserve their “kid hearts” as they make this transition to a new chapter.
