WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
ABOUT us
MEET Raquita
I believe in keeping love at the center, community in the frame, and belonging woven through it all. To me, a wedding is never just about one beautiful couple standing in good light. (although please give me good light) It is also about the people who raised you, chose you, supported you, celebrated you, and helped make you who you are. The best wedding photographs do more than document how the day looked. They hold what it felt like to be there, what it meant to be loved, and how deeply your life is connected to the people around you.
That belief shapes the way I work. I’m relationship-centered, emotionally honest, and deeply invested in helping people feel seen and celebrated in front of the camera. I want your photographs to reflect your real connection, your actual people, and the energy of a day that belongs to you. I’m not interested in forcing your story into something generic or polished at the expense of truth. I care about making images that feel alive, personal, and rooted in what matters most.
That commitment is especially important to me in serving LGBTQIA and Black, Indigenous, Indian and POC couples. You deserve to be photographed with care, dignity, artistry, and a genuine respect for the fullness of who you are. The joy of your culture is an important part of your day. You should never have to shrink yourself, translate yourself, or perform someone else’s version of love in order to be documented beautifully. My goal is to create an experience where you feel welcomed, held, and fully able to show up as yourselves.
I also believe the work is not finished when the gallery is delivered. Your wedding photographs deserve more than life as a link buried in an inbox or a folder sitting on your phone. They deserve a final form that lives with you. That is why I care so deeply about wedding albums and printed artwork. The gallery is part of the process, but the album is where the story becomes something tangible, lasting, and worthy of the life and legacy it holds.

DIAMOND | WEDDING
From the moment I met her, I just knew Raquita was the one. Our wedding photographer was everything I could’ve hoped for and more. She was incredibly personable and made me feel truly seen and heard throughout the entire process. Her energy and warmth instantly put me at ease, it honestly felt like I had a friend capturing our day, not just a vendor. And the wedding book? Absolutely stunning. we’re so grateful to have it as a keepsake.
